Tastiest Taco 2026!

Tastiest Taco is back for the fourth year in a row! This year's fundraiser/competition runs from National Taco Day, October 6, through November 6. Voting closes November 13 and the winner will be announced on November 16! Get your Ticket to Tacos today!
How does it work?
Participants buy a stamp booklet, otherwise known as their "Ticket to Tacos," and take it with them to participating restaurants to receive a FREE taco! After they stamp your booklet, you'll get to choose between one meat option and one vegetarian option that the restaurant has selected for the competition and dig in! Once you've had your share of tacos, participants vote for the Tastiest Taco!
Since these tacos are totally free and considered a donation to United Way of Whatcom County, we highly encourage participants to buy other items during their visit to support these generous local businesses!

- 2023 Winner! Black Sheep - Chicken Tinga or Mushroom Kale

- Tecalitlan Mexican Restaurant - Deep Fried Pork Carnitas or Veggie
- El Gitano - El Gitano's Signature Taco (shrimp) or Fajita
- Lilia's Mexican Cuisine - Pork Carnitas or Mixed Veggie

That's not all - participants also have a chance to win! After the competition, participants who send in their Ticket to Tacos with at least half of their booklet stamped will be entered into a raffle, and those who visit every single restaurant will be entered into their own prize drawing!
