UNITED FOR WORKING FAMILIES
ALICE at Work empowers employers to help workers build resiliency
With 45% of Whatcom County households facing financial instability, ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) workers struggle daily to make ends meet. ALICE at Work responds by offering a comprehensive program for business leaders. The program helps employers understand their workforce through the lens of data and human experience, which fosters dignity, resilience and opportunity.
ALICE experts partner with local employers to give them a clear picture of what ALICE looks like in their workplaces and help them create personalized solutions that ease the burden of ALICE employees and improve employee retention and satisfaction. We know there's no simple solution to financial instability and it's often not possible to simply pay employees more. That's why an ALICE at Work partnership provides employers with in-depth data and personalized resources.
Key offerings include:
- Company data report
- Dynamic, real-time course facilitation led by an expert trainer engages participants in interactive sessions, either virtually or in-person. This approach helps businesses refine internal strategies and gain deeper insights into employees' experiences, while ensuring responsiveness to participants' needs.
- 12-month engagement on action planning to support the implementation of new and adapted processes for ALICE workers.
- Successful completion of the course earns 12 SHRM and/or HRCI Professional Development credits.
“The ALICE@Work learning program provided me with a fresh framework for supporting and empowering employees in today’s modern landscape. As a former ALICE employee, I resonated with the unintended consequences that can result from traditional pay and benefit structures. I highly recommend that decision makers engage in this informative program!” ~ALICE@Work participant
